In April 2001, Michael & his wife Kuraono started "Are Tamanu" Resort with 12 thatched Bungalows a beach bar and first infinity pool in the Cook Islands. Mike built and designed most of this resort himself. Their eldest daughter Eikura has worked here since opening day, her brothers have ALL helped along the journey.

Our Mum joined officially as a Director when our brother Stuart exited Aitutaki to re-establish himself in Rarotonga.
Mum and Papa Johno are very much a part of the long term vision of Tamanu Beach.
