Our community efforts…

  • Coral Gardens

To enhance our Lagoon we have started our coral gardens project. In 2017 our reef experienced dramatic coral bleaching and with our help we can speed up the recovery

  • Three people on a small boat in clear turquoise water, one with snorkeling gear, all working with scientific equipment, with another person visible in the background.

    Find the balance

We are removing a natural predator of coral - the menacing crown of thorns. In Sep 2021 we removed 51 crown of thorns from the coral reef near Motu Maina.

  • A young green shrub with broad, glossy leaves in sandy soil, with tropical plants and palm trees in the background.

    For the future

The future is now. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is today. Our team cleaned around 150 Tamanu trees we planted on Motu Maina last year.
